General Business Principles

Principle 1: Company objective

The objective of our company is to engage efficiently, responsibly and profitably in the accounting, tax and other financial services business. As such we seek a high standard of performance and aim to maintain a long-term position of prominence in our competitive environment.

Principle 2: Company responsibility

Our company recognizes five main areas of responsibility:

a. To our partners

To protect their investment, and provide an acceptable return.

b. To our customers

To win and maintain customers by developing and providing services which offer value in terms of price and quality.

c. To our employees

To respect the human rights of our employees, to provide our employees with good and safe conditions of work, and good and competitive terms and conditions of employment.

To promote the development and best use of human talent and equal opportunity employment, and to encourage the involvement of employees in the planning and direction of their work, and in the application of these principles.

d. To those with whom we do business

To seek and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all our customers, to pursue and protect their interests at all times and to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all financial institutions and government agencies we have dealings with.

e. To society

To conduct business as a responsible member of our community, to observe all applicable laws and to give proper regard to health, safety and the environment.

Principle 3: Company economic principles

Profitability is essential to discharging these responsibilities and staying in business. It is a measure of both efficiency and the value that customers place on our services. Without profits and a strong financial foundation, it would not be possible to responsibly fulfill our obligations.

Principle 4: Company business ethics

Our company insists on honesty, integrity and fairness in all aspects of its business activities and expects the same in their relationships with all those with whom we do business. The direct or indirect offer, payment, soliciting and acceptance of bribes in any form are unacceptable practices. All business transactions must be reflected accurately and transparently in the accounts of our customers in accordance with established policies and procedures and must be subject to audit.

Principle 5: Company position on political activities

a. Our company

Our company does not make payments to political parties, organizations or their representatives or take any part in party politics. However, when dealing with governments, our company has the right and the responsibility to make its position known on any matter, which affects our company, our employees, our customers and our community.

b. Our employees

Although we discourage such activity, where individuals wish to engage in activities in the community, including standing for election to public office, they will be given the opportunity to do so where this is appropriate in the light of local circumstances.

Principle 6: Company position on health, safety and environmental matters

Our company will always strictly comply with and also enforce strict compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and regulations as established by the competent authorities.

Principle 7: Company community involvement

Our company takes a constructive interest in societal matters which may not be directly related to our line of business through participation in community, educational or donation programs.

Principle 8: Company position on competition

Our company supports free enterprise and seeks to compete fairly and ethically and within the framework of applicable competition laws; we will not prevent others from competing freely and fairly with us.
